Halligan’s Tavern In Review
Last night I did Halligan’s Tavern in Derry, NH. It’s a fairly new show, I’m pretty sure last night was the fourth week they’ve done it. The host asked me to take the bullet (go first) and I said yes. I don’t really mind going first and I would rather say yes with a smile than make the host have to worry about having to ask someone else. The room got packed. I would guess at least forty people. And I’ve heard that is how it’s been consistently.
I did about five minutes that went well. I was pleased to see the other comics on the show. I feel like I hadn’t seen a few of them in a while.
The host asked if I wanted to come back in two weeks, so I’ll be there again on October 11th.
I was on my way out when a guy stopped me to introduce himself. We talked about stand up a little but he said he studied improv and sketch at UCB in New York City. He dropped a name or two, Donald Glover being one of them. Said that Mr. Glover was a very hard worker. I look forward to taking an improv class or two but with the schedule I keep it’s hard to fit it in right now. Soon though. Until then I’ll keep with the stand up.
